Japan’s Textbook Inspection Which Denies Historical Truth…
In March 2007, the national education, culture, sports, science and technology ministry advised textbook publishers to reword descriptions that the embattled Imperial Japanese Army forced civilians to kill themselves. They prefer descriptions that just say that civilians received hand grenades from the military.

Sixty years after World War II, Us military base problems in Okinawa are still unresolved. 大二次世界大戦、終戦から六十年後の今でも沖縄県内の米軍基地の 問題は解決されていません。 Our earnest desire is the closure of Futenma Air Station and it’s relocation outside Japan.
私達の本当の願いはアメリカ海兵隊普天間航空基地の閉鎖と沖縄県からの移転です。
This video is from the Mayer of Ginowan city, Okinawa Japan. The problems are still there and need to spread the words!

Nobuaki Kinjo was 16 when he murdered his mother, six-year-old brother and four-year-old sister. Then he went looking for Americans to kill. “We went insane,” he told a court recently. “We were told by the soldiers of the Imperial Japanese Army that we should commit suicide rather than be captured.”

“Wonder Okinawa“ This is a great website created by Okinawa Prefecture (Okinawa Government)
They put a lot of time and effort presenting Okinawa’s history and culture. They also have valuable sources for tourist and much more. I have listed all the contents below with links to each site. Each site is magnificently filled with information, lots of images, music, and movies that you can’t get anywhere else and they are translated in English and in Japanese.
I am very pleased of their excellent work and I have enjoyed learning more about Okinawa and I am more educated in my heritage. I just can’t wait until my next visit to Okinawa!
